Years w/Cake & Six Weeks of Rare Coffee Oct. 21
(EVENT page)
Chazzano Coffee is celebrating their six year anniversary on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 7am – 6pm at 1737 E 9 Mile Rd in Ferndale.
“We’ll even have cake available all day long- A rare occurrence at a cafe that has no food, ever,” said Frank Lanzkron-Tamarazo who opened the little coffee shop with a big dream and an aversion to sugar and cream.
Distribution has grown and so have Chazzano’s offerings. A recently launched K-Cup line has Lanzkron-Tamarazo thinking outside the bag, and soon there will be Chazzano Coffee Brooklyn Born Coffee.
Also, for the next six weeks, they are selling one of the extremely rare Nicaraguan microlots that Lanzkron-Tamarazo has sourced from his trip to Nicaragua in January 2015 with Gold Mountain Coffee Growers.
Each pound of this Direct Trade coffee will be $36/ pound.
Here is the schedule for each single origin microlot. In addition, to further assist these dedicated coffee farmers, there will be an optional donation of $.25/ cup for each coffee. The donation will help the hard working coffee farmers feed and clothe their family, buy necessary farming equipment, and provide their children with necessary books and back packs for their schooling.

November 4: Don Fransico Catuai Microlot
November 11: Ocotal Maragogype Microlot
