As a child did you ever tour the fire station, sit in a police cruiser, or peer inside an ambulance? Weren’t the police officers, fire personnel and emergency workers larger than life? Well, here’s your chance to provide your child with the same opportunity. Oak Park Public Safety Department is having an Open House on Sunday, October 4th from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Come and tour the new building, meet our wonderful (and multi-talented) personnel, and participate in the many demonstrations which include fire truck, police vehicles, evidence handling, and firearm simulations. There will be photo opportunities, gift bags (for children) and treats (hot dogs, popcorn, beverages and more). We hope to see you there!
