(Deputy Chief Jeff James, Waterford Police, Sept 19, 2015)
On 9/12/15 10:59 pm, Waterford Officers responded to the 6000 Block of Cooley Lake Rd for a reported Breaking and Entering of a local business. Arriving officers along with an employee of the business noticed the suspect had forced their way through a service door and that it did not appear anything was taken at the time. The crime was believed to have been captured on the businesses cctv cameras but the employee was unable to pull the video up for the responding officers at that time.
On 9/15/15 investigators received the businesses video footage showing the suspect who was immediately identified by the investigator as, Robert Darrin Hale, a 42 year old male from Sahara ad with wineWhite Lake. The investigator had a previous Breaking and Entering case with Hale in 2012 where he was convicted and sentenced to 3 to 30 years out of Waterford. Suspect Hale was also previously stopped by Waterford Officers on August 28, 2015 for running a red light. When stopped, Hale gave a false name to the Officers, had a suspended license and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Hale was arrested, booked and released on an appearance citation for those charges.
Today suspect Hale was video arraigned in front of the Honorable Judge Richard Kuhn, 51st District Court, from the Oakland County Jail on the following charges:
