(C. Proxmire, Sept. 11, 2015)
Elections are coming up on Nov. 3, 2015 and among those running for a partial term on the Huntington Woods City Commission is Joe Rozell.
Rozell is an 11-year resident of Huntington Woods who works as Director of Elections for Oakland County and teaches classes on government budgeting and accounting at Oakland University.
In his interview with oc115, Rozell said he hopes to “keep a good thing going” in Huntington Woods, and also to work on improving communication and outreach. He talked about the city’s role regionally, and about how he would handle communications with the Detroit Zoo.
Rozell is running against Tom Lurie for the seat.
Huntington Woods voters will also be considering who will be Mayor, with the race taking place between Robert F. Paull III and David C. Sloan.
There is also a race to fill two full-term (4 year) seats on the Commission. Candidates for those seats are Allison Iversen, Jeffrey Jenks, Aaron M. Sullivan and Louise Wibbelman.
