Ferndale v. Berkley Football
Game to Honor Police & Fire Sept. 11
(event)
On Friday, September 11th, 2015 the Eagles of Ferndale High School will host the Bears of Berkley High School in a football game to honor the “First Responders” from both cities.
“It is an honor to have the chance to recognize and celebrate the brave men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our cities,” said Ferndale Schools Athletic Director Shaun Butler.
“Gold Rush” T Shirts will be sold to raise money for the FealGood Foundation throughout the week and at the game while supplies last. The festivities will include the firetrucks from Berkley and Ferndale having the American Flag hung between the two ladders, Ferndale Police Officer Brandon Moore singing the national anthem, and a short half time ceremony featuring the mayors of Berkley and Ferndale.
“The mission of the FGF is to assist all emergency personnel, including but not limited to, construction workers, police officers, firefighters, nurses, volunteers, sanitation workers and transportation workers, within the United States who have been injured, or face serious injury due to proposed action or omission, in the course of their duties or within their everyday lives.” Learn more at http://fealgoodfoundation.com/.
