Driver Critically Injured
When Car Falls from Hauling Trailer during Accident on I-75

Serious Traffic Crash: On August 25, 2015 at approximately 12:30 PM, troopers from the Metro Post were dispatched to a traffic crash involving a car hauler (3500 Dodge Ram with 3 vehicle capacity trailer) and a tractor trailer combination on I 75 near Northline Road in the City of Taylor. Preliminary investigation revealed the northbound I-75 traffic was stopped and or slowing for another crash that occurred and the Dodge 3500 could not stop in a sure clear distance and rear ended the tractor trailer. During the crash, one of the vehicles that the car hauler was towing fell from the trailer onto the roof of the car hauler. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured. The driver of the car hauler was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. This investigation is continuing by the Metro Post and the MSP traffic crash reconstruction unit.
