Fleeing Suspect Drives Minibike Through Front Door of Home

THROUGH MIDNIGHT SHIFT:  08-21-2015
INCIDENT:  12:15 hrs. – City of Pontiac – Fleeing and Eluding Police #15-135171
SUMMARY:  While patrolling near the area of Huron and Thorpe Street, a Deputy observed an unlicensed minibike pull onto W. Huron Street. After activating the patrol unit’s lights and siren, the driver of the minibike refused to stop and fled at a high rate of speed. The pursuit ended as the responsible subject drove the mini bike, thru the front door, into a residence on Green St.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT:  At the termination of the chase, Deputies forced entry into the Green Street residence and took the responsible subject into custody. The suspect was lodged at the Oakland County Jail on the charges of Flee and Elude Police, Resist and Obstruct, DWLS and Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle on a Roadway.
ARRESTEE INFORMATION: 22 year old male; resident of the City of Pontiac.
