Ferndale Police Officer Involved in Crash While Responding to Call

An unnamed female Ferndale police officer was driving west on 9 Mile Road at 1:27am on Sunday when she crossed the intersection of Woodward with lights and sirens on.  Her patrol vehicle collided with a Dodge heading north on Woodward Avenue according to a report in The Daily Tribune. The extent of the damage was not reported.  The officer reported an injury from the accident, but no one was taken to the hospital.

Note: This story has been updated to correct an error made in Daily Tribune’s reporting.  The officer was traveling west, not east.
