Blues/Rock fury straight out of the Motor City, Dirty Basement Blues music is as gritty and unique as the town they represent. Formed in early 2012, the band is Mike Conley on drums, Bryan Miller on bass, Joe Stanley on guitar, the prodigious voice of Frank Grimaldi and seasoned soul man, Pete Zajicek, on keys.
They won the Detroit Blues Society “Blues Challenge” in 2013 and competed in the International Blues Challenge with over 200 bands from across the globe. Their latest record Coming Clean has garnered massive radio attention, glowing reviews and has been nominated for Outstanding Blues Recording at the 2015 Detroit Music Awards.
Dirty Basement Blues is a true spectacle and live act not to be missed!
Jazz & Blues is sponsored by the Friends of the Southfield Public Library and the Detroit Blues Society.
