(C. Proxmire, Aug. 6, 2015)
After living in Ferndale for 25 years, being an active parent to five children, and serving on the Ferndale Board of Education for over two and a half years, Raylon Leaks-May has decided to run for City Council in the Nov. 3, 2015 election.
Leaks-May is one of three candidates running for two seats. Incumbent Councilperson Daniel Martin is running for another term and William “Bill” White is also on the ballot.
Mayor Dave Coulter is also up for re-election, but he is unopposed. Councilperson Mike Lennon decided not to seek another term.
Leaks-May spoke with the oc115 about her experience on School Board and her thoughts for the City as a whole. Topics like parking, housing and diversity were among those covered.
