On August 8th, we need your help to clean-up, improve, and restore downtown in preparation of Thunder in Pontiac.
What: Downtown Pontiac Improvement Project
Date: Saturday, August 8th
Time: 9am – 1pm
Place: Meet at the 50th District Courthouse in Downtown Pontiac.
On August 13, 14, and 15, Pontiac will host Thunder in Pontiac, a weekend-long event that will coincide with the Woodward Dream Cruise. There will be beer gardens, musical entertainment, a zip line, and more…
In anticipation of this exciting event that will bring thousands of eyes on our city, Better Pontiac is organizing a massive mobilization of residents, businesses, and stakeholders to clean-up, improve, and restore several areas downtown. Trash will be collected, weeds will be pulled, sidewalks will be swept, bollards will be painted, and lots will be mowed. Let’s really create a community we are proud to call home.
To do this, we require several things. We need volunteers, lawn equipment and tools- including mowers and weed-whippers- garbage bags, and gloves. There will be dumpsters available on site.
