Holly High School Theatre Department is having a great time this summer working on a production of Footloose. The proceeds from this community show will support a scholarship for a Holly High School theatre student. The Broadway version of this popular 80’s movie is being presented on August 13, 14, 15 at 7 pm, with an additional matinee at 2 pm on August 15. Footloose will be performed in the auditorium at Holly High School at 6161 E. Holly Road, Holly, MI 48442.
Judy_Palmer30yearsThe musical begins as a boy from Chicago moves to a small town where dancing has been outlawed. As the story unfolds, the characters learn lessons about love, family, and listening to each other. Musical numbers include Footloose, Holding Out for a Hero, Let’s Hear It for the Boy, and Almost Paradise.
This fun-filled musical for the whole family includes cast and crew members ranging in age from 3 to 70. The production team for this musical includes co-directors Joseph Mishler and Laura Legant, musical director, Rafeal McDaniel, and choreographer Angie Stinde.
Tickets for all performances are available online at Showtix4u.com or can be purchased at the door. Students ages 18 and under: $8, adults: $12, and senior citizens 55 and older: $8.
