Pontiac: Victim Struck by Gunfire on S. Anderson

INCIDENT: 01:11 hrs. – June 29 – City of Pontiac – Non-Fatal Shooting #15-101285
SUMMARY: Deputies were dispatched to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital (Oakland) for the report of a victim seeking treatment for a gunshot wound. The victim who had been shot in the lower extremities was being treated for her injuries in the Emergency Room. Deputies located witnesses who had also been shot at by the suspects. Deputies interviewed two witnesses/victims outside of the Emergency Room. The witnesses stated that they had been exiting a car in the driveway of a residence on the 300 block of S. Anderson Street when four (4) black males wearing dark clothing walked out from behind a house and began shooting at them striking the gunshot victim and the vehicle they had been riding in. Witnesses reported that the suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction. Witnesses then drove the victim to the hospital. Deputies located the crime scene and discovered a U-Haul truck parked in front of the residence with two bullet holes in the box of the truck. Deputies continued to check the area and found that the residence had received two additional bullet holes. Deputies inspected the vehicle that the victims had driven to the hospital and discovered that it also had been struck by gunfire. The crime scene on S. Anderson and the victim’s vehicle were preserved for the Forensic Crime Lab. The victim was transferred to Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital and is listed in stable condition.
SUSPECT(S) INFORMATION: Four (4) unknown black males wearing dark clothing, one of the suspects is reported to have dreadlocks.
VICTIMS: 20 year old female; resident of the City of Pontiac (gunshot victim).
24 year old female; resident of the City of Pontiac.
24 year old male; resident of the City of Pontiac.
8 month old female (seated in the car at the time of incident).
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: Detectives and the Forensic Crime Lab responded and continue with the investigation.
