911 Dispatcher Helps Walled Lake Woman Give Birth (video)

It was only about seven minutes from the time Dispatch Specialist Lisa Ludwig took the incoming 911 call to when the newborn boy could be heard screaming in the background of the call’s recording. But for the 30 year old mother and her husband and mother in the bathroom with her, it will be seven minutes they will never forget.
The pregnant woman’s mother called 911 to say the baby was coming really fast. Ludwig kept the mother calm and walked her through how to help. The baby, who was due July 2, was born on the bathroom floor of a home in Walled Lake just before paramedics arrived.
Mother and baby were transported to a local hospital for care, but seemed to be doing just fine at the end of the call. Listen to the 911 call:
