Sixth Narcan Save This Year for Oakland County Sheriff’s Dept.

INCIDENT: 20:40 hrs. – June 16, 2015 – Highland Township – Overdose / Narcan Administered. #15-93239
SUMMARY: Highland Township deputies were dispatched to the 1700 block of Valley Drive for the report of a female that had overdosed in a vehicle parked at the residence.
Upon their arrival, deputies observed a white female lying on the ground. She was unresponsive.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: Deputies administered NARCAN and the female immediately opened her eyes, and became combative with deputies. She was restrained and advised deputies that she was alright. The female became cooperative and began talking with deputies until medical personnel arrived.
The female was transported to Huron Valley Hospital by STAR EMS.
Citations for Controlled Substance Paraphernalia were issued to two individuals at the scene.
This is the 6th Narcan save by OCSO Deputies since the program was initiated late February of this year.
VICTIM INFORMATION: 21 year old female; resident of Highland Township.
