Tenant Found Dead in Closet of Pontiac Home

INCIDENT:  14:56 hrs. – June 15, 2015 – City of Pontiac – Death Investigation / OCSO Forensic Lab Assist   #15-92307.
SUMMARY:  The home owner was in the process of executing an eviction at an address in the 300 block of Prospect, when he discovered a deceased subject in the back of a closet in the home and called 911.  Deputies responded to the residence and were met by the homeowner. Detectives responded to the scene to assist deputies with the investigation.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT:  Detectives requested the assistance of the OCSO Forensic Lab to process the scene.  An investigator from the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office responded and took custody of the deceased.  An autopsy and positive ID is pending and the investigation continues.
DECEASED INFORMATION:  Appears to be a 55 year old male who was the renter of the home.  He had been dead for some time as the last time a neighbor saw him was 2 weeks ago.
