Help Name Royal Oak’s Latest Police K-9
(Royal Oak Police, May 28, 2015)
The Royal Oak Police Department is turning to Facebook fans for help naming its newest recruit. Officer Michael Stajich will travel to the Vohne Liche Kennels in Indiana on June 3 to select and train the department’s newest police dog. Police say the new K-9’s name could come from your Facebook suggestion!
Officer Stajich will have a variety of dogs to select from once he arrives at the kennel. He does not have a photo or even know the breed of the new dog so let’s give him lots of options to choose from. Submit your name ideas on Facebook at this post.
The new recruit will join K-9 Ryker, who was just 18 months old when he joined the ROPD in 2012. Ryker replaced K-9 Charlie, who retired after 7 years of service. (Wow! That’s 49 dog years.)
