Motorcyclist Dead After Head-On Accident on Orion Rd

INCIDENT: 12:41 hrs. – May 23, 2015 – City of Rochester Hills – Personal Injury Accident / OCSO Crash Reconstruction Unit Assist. #15-77866
SUMMARY:  Deputies responded to a fatal vehicle/motorcycle crash that occurred on north bound Orion Rd, south of Dutton Rd.  The victim was operating a Yamaha motorcycle that was struck head-on by a Chrysler 300.  The victim was traveling south bound on Orion Rd, went left of center, striking the north bound Chrysler 300 head-on. 
 
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT:  The OCSO Crash Reconstruction Unit responded to assist in the investigation.  The victim was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead on scene at 13:02 hrs via telemetry. The driver of the Chrysler 300 did not appear injured and refused medical treatment on scene.  The victim was wearing a helmet and alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in this crash.  The crash remains under investigation.

(DRIVER):  43 year old male, resident of Rochester Hills.
(DECEASED INFORMATION):  54 year old male, resident of Rochester Hills.
