Parole Absconder Arrested with Items Stolen from Ferndale Cars
(Lt. William Wilson, Ferndale Police, April 12, 2015)
Early Sunday (04/12/15) morning, Ferndale police arrested a 49 year old parolee after he is believed to have broken into a car on St. Louis Street.
At about 4:30 a.m. a resident discovered that somebody had entered his vehicle and stole several items. One of the articles taken was a Samsung Tablet that had a tracking device activated. Police were able to track the device to the area of John R / Hollywood in Detroit where they found Lloyd George HILLIARD (B/M, 49, homeless) walking and carrying a bag. Inside the bag, HILLIARD were several items stolen from the vehicle on St. Louis. This arrest follows several recent Larceny from Auto’s over the past weeks from the same neighborhood.
HILLIARD is currently on parole and wanted as a parole absconder.
Police are sending the case to the prosecutor’s office for review for possible issuance of an arrest warrant and the Michigan Department of Corrections is being notified of HILLIARD’s arrest.
