Suspect Bites Woman’s Cheek, Uses Crackers in Arson Attempt

INCIDENT: 09:54 Hrs. Feb. 27,2015 – City of Pontiac – Home Invasion/Felony Assault/Arson: # 15-29292
SUMMARY: Deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Starlite for a home invasion. Upon arrival, Deputies spoke with the victim who stated her ex-boyfriend kicked her door in and assaulted her by pushing her and biting her cheek. She stated her ex-boyfriend held a knife to her throat and threatened kill her. He also lit a greeting card on fire and threw it in a cabinet and threw a box of crackers on the lit stove in an attempt to burn her house down.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: The suspect had taken the victim’s cell phone. The suspect was located by Deputies in the 80 block of Hamilton. The suspect was lodged at OCJ pending warrants. The Fire Investigations Unit was called to assist in the investigation.
VICTIM: 21 year old female, resident of the City of Pontiac.
SUSPECT: 21 year old male resident of the City of Pontiac.
