Waterford Schools Seeking New Superintendent

The Waterford Board of Education approved the recommendation to accept a proposal from the Michigan Associate of School Boards (MASB) to conduct a superintendent search. Superintendent John Silveri has announced his retirement effective June 30, 2015, Silveri has served as Waterford School District superintendent since 2010.
MASB has provided quality educational leadership services to Michigan boards of education for more than 60 years. This non-profit service organization has been working with school boards to recruit and retain superintendents for more than 30 years. Through their extensive search network MASB has successfully placed more than 400 superintendents. As a member of the National Affiliation of Superintendent Searchers, MASB has placed more than fifteen out-of-state candidates into Michigan superintendent positions in recent years and provided counsel on dozens of searches in other states.
MASB will work with the Waterford Board of Education to establish timelines, develop selection criteria, and gather stakeholder input. Timelines and opportunities for community input will be announced as they are put in place.
