Ferndale Woman Comes Home to Man Ransacking Her House

On 02/12/2015 at approximately 2236 hours Ferndale cars were dispatched to the 1500 block of Woodward Heights to investigate a Home Invasion in progress. After setting up a perimeter officers located Sean Patrick Masterson W/M 12/11/86 on Annabelle near Hilton. After an investigation officers located the victim’s property on his person and arrested Masterson for Home Invasion.
Masterson is on parole for Fleeing and Eluding, Possession of Stolen Property, and OWI 3rd offense.
The victim in this case is a 42 year old woman and lives in the same neighborhood as MASTERSON. The two met several days earlier, and she has reported strange and harassing type of behavior from Masterson towards her. She left her home for a short time on 02/12/15 and when she returned, she saw a man in her house. She phone the police and when the police arrived, MASTERSON broke out a rear window of the house and ran away through the back yard. Shortly after, officers caught him and arrested him. The victim’s home had been severely ransacked.
The report has been forwarded to the Oakland County Prosecutors for a determination of charges. He will likely be arraigned this afternoon.
