Vacant Home on Borgman in Oak Park Destroyed in Blaze

Wednesday, January 28th at approx. 6:00AM Public Safety responded to the report of a residential fire on the 14000 block of Borgman. Upon arriving on scene Officers discovered a fire in the basement of the residence. The fire had been burning for some time not allowing Officers to make entry into this area of the home.   Due to the extent of the fire, Officers were forced to take a defensive mode. The residence in question has been vacant for over a year. The cause and origin of the fire is under investigation.
