Gunshots Fired in Oak Park, Suspect at Large

Tuesday, January 27th at approximately 11:20PM, Public Safety received a call from a male victim stating that an unknown subject had just fired gunshots at him and his brother in the area of Norwood and Kenwood. The suspect pulled up alongside the victims as they were walking on Norwood Street. The suspect asked what they were doing to which they replied “just walking.” The suspect stated they needed to leave the area before he decided to shoot them. He then pulled out a hand gun and fired several gunshots in their direction. The victims fled the area on foot. The suspect then drove away northbound on Norwood. The victims were not injured and could not provide an explanation as to why the incident occurred.
The suspect is described as a black male, light complexion, approximately 30 years of age, wearing a full beard and mustache. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect or vehicle.
UPDATE: The suspect was in a silver Lincoln Navigator.
