Commerce Twp. Man Shot Self While Cleaning Gun

INCIDENT: 19:27 Hrs. – Commerce Township – Accidental Shooting #15-1664
SUMMARY: Deputies responded to the Emergency Room at Huron Valley Hospital on a report of a gunshot victim. It was reported that the victim arrived at the Emergency Room indicating he had accidentally shot himself in the hand while cleaning his firearm.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: A Detective was notified and responded to the hospital to continue the investigation. The victim’s injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
VICTIM: A 64 yr. old male resident of Commerce Twp.
