Water Main Break in Berkley, Some Residents without Wateressential

UPDATE:  AT 7:30pm the main was fixed and water was restored to customers.

The Department of Public Works (DPW) is repairing a water main break on Harvard just west of Woodward.  In order to isolate the repair area, gate valves will be closed and some residents will Candlewickshop_May2014be without water for a period of time.  Additionally, residents in the general area may experience brown water.  This is not unusual and will clear up once flows have moderated.  The repairs are expected to be complete by 8 PM.

Please check the City website regularly for updates.  If you have any questions, please call the DPW at 248-658-3490 before 3:30 PM.  If you have a water emergency, please call Public Safety at 248-658-3380.
