Therapy Dogs Visit Angell Elementary in Berkley

Therapy Dogs Visit Angell Elementary in BerkleyJudy_Palmer30years

(Berkley Schools E Blast, Dec. 27, 2014)

Every other week students at Angell Elementary are visited by therapy dogs. The dogs, Grace, an English Springer Spaniel, and Kate, a Labrador Retriever, visit with their humans Mary and steele lindbloom adDoug Karakas.

Teachers at Angell had the opportunity to sign up for the bi-weekly visits, and each class experiences the dogs differently. Many students spend time reading out loud to the dogs, some just enjoy their company and others get to spend time with them as a reward.

This complimentary program brings much cheer to the building.
