DIA Away will be in Holly for TWO weekends during the Holly Dickens Festival!
YES ~ Director George Kullis has convinced The DIA to nearly TRIPLE the original time this brand new mobile interactive art attraction will be in Downtown Holly!
The additional dates will allow more schools to visit, and a special date and time has been added for Senior community.
November 28, 5:00 – 9:00 Tree lighting ceremony (New)
November 29 – 30, 1:00 – 6:00 Dickens Festival
December 1 -2, 9:00a – 3:00p Holly Schools School event
December 3 – 9:00a – 11:00a Holly area Seniors (new)
December 3, 11:00a – 3:00p Holly Schools School Event (new)
December 13 – 14, 1:00 – 6:00 Dickens Festival (new)
DIA Away is a free, mobile, interactive classroom that brings educational, hands-on art experiences to schools throughout Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties. DIA Away is designed to coordinate with school curriculum standards; elementary, middle and high school teachers will find direct links to both the National Visual Arts Standards and Common Core Standards for English/Language Arts.
