Madison Heights Holiday Tree Lighting Nov. 24th

Madison Heights  Holiday Tree Lighting Nov. 24th Jim Shaffer KELLER ad black

(Compiled, Nov. 21, 2014)

Join in the excitement on Monday, November 24th as Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive to turn on the City Holiday Lights! This festive beginning to the holiday season will be held in the Civic Center Plaza starting at 6:00 pm.

The Mayor will welcome Santa and present him with an official key to the City. Visitors will enjoy cookies and cocoa while listening to seasonal music. Following the tree lighting program, children may wish to get their 934_8600_Gen-Online_Banners4photos taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus inside the Breckenridge Room of the Library, assisted by the Intermediate Women’s Club.

In keeping with the spirit of the season, people are asked to bring a canned good to help the Madison Heights Goodfellows provide food for needy families in the City. As this event is privately sponsored, the Mayor asks the community to help keep this tradition going, by making a donation payable to “City of Madison Heights – Christmas Light Fund.” Contributions may be mailed to City Hall, 300 W. 13 Mile. Any donation no matter the size helps continue this wonderful event.
