Thousands of Kids Enjoy Angels Night in Pontiac

The Pontiac community helped over 5,000 kids enjoy an Angel’s Night celebration full of costumes and candy. There was music and food, games and even a rock climbing wall.
Many groups came together for the epic celebration, including the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department, Pontiac Schools, Save a Lot, Woodside Bible Church, Oakland University, Kirk in the Hills, NPHC Pontiac Chapter, Project Help, Peel’s Garden Center, Oakland Schools, Yates Cider Mill, Pontiac Regional Chamber, Ascend Foundation, Oakland County Ministerial Fellowship, Reverse Church, Chartwells, Pontiac Kappa Foundation, Kensington Church, The Power Company Kids Club, Plan B, New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Center for Success, Great Start Collaborative Oakland, First Presbyterian Church of Birmingham, Oakland Primary
Health Services, Olive Branch Ministries Inc., Pontiac Housing Commission, Pontiac Youth Assistance, Victory Apostolic Church, Oakland County Parks, PEA/MEA, Project Excel, Lighthouse of Oakland County, and Bridge the Gap Ministries.
Sheriff Bouchard said, “It was an awesome gathering that allowed us to have a fun and safe event for kids and families to enjoy Halloween as a community. We heartily thank the partners and sponsors who helped make it happen.” His department gave out over 5,000 bags for the young trick-or-treaters.
