Hunter Safety Class Starts Nov. 6 in Hazel Park

Be certified and be safe! Take the DNR-approved Hunter Safety Class at the Hazel Park Rec. Center at 620 W Woodward Heights Blvd. According to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR), “Hunter education in Michigan has taught thousands of people safe hunting techniques, firearm handling and hunter ethics. Hunter safety is required if you were born after January 1, 1960 and you want to purchase any Michigan hunting license, or you are planning an out-of-state hunting trip.”
Attendees can be from any city.
Class dates are Thursday, Nov. 6 (6-9 pm), Friday, Nov. 7 (6-9 pm), & Saturday, Nov. 8 (8 am-1 pm). Must attend all 3 classes.
Pre-register either at the Rec. Center or on the DNR website http://www.dnr.state.mi.us/recnsearch/.
Cost is $10, no age requirement.
Please do not being firearms to classes, but please bring paper & pen/pencil.
