“Are you ready for Hillary?”
This was the question of the day at Oakland University as a long line of Democratic political candidates from throughout SE Michigan took the stage in an election season rally.

dinos02sidelogo3 Among the speakers were Congressman Gary Peters who is running for US Senate, Congressman Mark Schauer who is running for Governor, Oakland County Clerk Lisa Brown who is Schauer’s running-mate, Oakland County Treasurer Andy Meisner, US Congressperson Sander Levin, Michigan Supreme Court candidates Richard Bernstein and Deborah Thomas, Mark Totten who is running for Attorney General, Godfrey Dillard who is running for Secretary of State,   Southfield Mayor Brenda Lawrence who is running for Congress, and several others seeking office.royal_services
Clinton praised Schauer and Peters and commended them for their role in the auto bailout, which brought stability to the industry and new jobs to Michigan.
While there are rumors of a potential Presidential run for Clinton, she has not made any such announcement.  But Peters did say that “she’ll be great at whatever she does.”
With just 19 days left until Election Day, getting out the vote messages also took center stage. Along with the quintessential question, the rally cry was “When people vote, we win,” a nod to the idea that the higher the turnout, the more likely it is for Democrats to be elected.
