Sheriff’s Department Searching for Murder Suspect Travis Hudson

Arrest warrants have been issued by the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office for a 31-year-old Pontiac man wanted in the shooting death of 21-year-old Steffan Causey on Sunday, Sept. 28.
Travis Lamar Hudson has been charged with one count Open Murder, one count of Carrying a Concealed Weapon, two counts of Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and one count of Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
The homicide occurred around 4:30 Sunday afternoon in the 200 block of Charles Lane in the Bloomfield Hills Town House Cooperative in Pontiac. Witnesses indicate a scuffle broke out between Hudson and Causey at which time Hudson drew a gun and shot Causey in the abdomen. Causey later died at an area hospital from his injuries.
Hudson has four prior felony drug convictions, numerous other arrests including a Fleeing and Eluding Police. He should be considered armed and dangerous and the public is cautioned not to approach him.
A reward is being offered to anyone with information on Hudson’s whereabouts by contacting the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office at 248-858-4911.
This is the third homicide in the City of Pontiac in 2014.
