Berkley Fire Prevention Day Sept. 27

Berkley Public Safety Department will host a Fire Prevention Open House on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 10am to 2pm at their headquarters at 2395 W. 12 Mile.
The event features: Sparky the Fire Dog, Extraction Demo, Jr. Fire Academy, Child ID Kits, Smoke Trailer and a bounce house.
Families will learn about the importance of working smoke alarms, planning a family escape plan, common causes of fires in the household and how to stop, drop and roll. Fire trucks and other equipment will be on hand.
