Breaking and Entering
2709 W. Webster (Dr. Mariotti Family Practice), 9-10-14, 4:45 p.m. – 9:10 p.m.:
Complainant reported an unknown suspect entered the business through the rear door and stole an undisclosed amount of currency from a locked desk drawer. 14-30798
Larceny from an Automobile
keith dalton ad3200 Block of N. Vermont, 8-21-14 – 9-4-14, 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect broke out the passenger rear window of her vehicle to gain entry and stole the radio/GPS. 14-29969
32955 Woodward (Mt. Chalet), 9-7-14, 10:45 – 11:30 p.m.: Complainant reported he parked his 2012 Ford F-150 in front of the business. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect had stolen the tonneau cover. 14-30551
1000 block of Genesee, 9-10-14 – 9-11-14, 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.: Complainant reportedshe parked her vehicle in her driveway. When she returned she discovered an unknown suspect had stolen miscellaneous change and two (2) pairs of prescription sunglasses from the unlocked vehicle. 14-30860

205 W. Fifth (O’Tooles), 9-7-14, 1:30 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect took his cell phone from his pocket. When he confronted the suspect, he dropped his phone on the floor. He retrieved his phone the suspect left the bar. A short time later he discovered his wrist watch was missing and believes the suspect removed his watch, from his wrist, during the confrontation. 14-30564
600 block of E. Fourth (Harbor Results Inc.), 9-5-14 – 9-7-14, 12:00 a.m. – 11:59 p.m.:
Complainant reported an unknown suspect stole the license plate from a company vehicle parked in the nicholas-schrock-allstateparking lot. 14-30847
2100 Block of Wickham, 9-10-14, 3:00 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect stole her Mac Book from her coffee table in her home. 14-30896
Malicious Destruction of Property
600 block of E. Hudson, 9-5-14 – 9-6-14, 10:00 p.m. – 8:30 a.m.: Complainant reported he and his wife parked their vehicles in the driveway. Sometime overnight an unknown suspect punctured a tire on both vehicles. 14-30344
1600 block of Etowah, 8-28-14 – 8-29-14, 11:00 p.m. – 9:00 a.m.: Complainant reported he parked her car in her driveway. When she returned she discovered it was keyed by an unknown suspect. 14-29160
Sixth and Lafayette (Parking Structure), 9-4-14 – 9-8-14, 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 a.m.;
Complainant reported parking her work van in the parking structure and upon returning discovered an unknown suspect has slashed two tires on the van. 14-30871gallowaycollens1
Other Incidents and Information
1000 block of Genesee, 9-10-14 – 9-11-14, 10:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.; Complainant reported an unknown suspect pushed her unlocked vehicle out of her driveway onto her lawn.

UPDATE: On Thursday, September 11, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., Edana Evette Moorer was charged with one (1) count of Fleeing and Eluding Third Degree, which carries up to a five year sentence, and one (1) count of violating the Organized Retail Crime Act, which carries up to a five year sentence. She was also charged with one (1) count of Driving While License
Suspended Second Offense, which carries up to a one year sentence. Moorer was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Derek Meinecke from the 44th District Court.
Her bond was set at $15,500. Moorer’s next scheduled court date is set for Friday, September 19, 2014, in the 44th District Court, before the presiding Judge. Moorer has prior convictions for Larceny, Larceny by False Pretenses, and Driving While

Retail Fraud Suspect Arrested
On September 10, 2014, at 7:00 a.m., a Meijer loss prevention officer reported a female suspect committed a Retail Fraud and was leaving the store. Officers quickly responded to the business, located at 5150 Coolidge, and observed the lone suspect getting into a vehicle.
The suspect refused to stop for the officers and fled through the parking lot and continued eastbound on Meijer Drive. The suspect ran the red light at Crooks and Meijer Drive and was struck by a vehicle traveling dinos02sidelogo3northbound on Crooks. Two other vehicles, near the
intersection, were damaged as a result of the crash.
The suspect, a 44-year-old Westland resident, was arrested for Retail Fraud and Fleeing and Eluding a Police Officer. The suspect was transported to the hospital for treatment. The occupants of the other vehicles involved in the accident were released at the scene.
The Royal Oak Police Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the incident.
