(Crystal A. Proxmire, Sept. 1, 2014)
In a celebration complete with dancing dragons, a ribbon cutting, and a buffet of incredible cuisine, Tai Fai in Oak Park shared their success and expansion with the public on Aug. 28. The name “Tai Fai” means “great and fast” in Cantonese, and in the small take-out restaurant’s first year it has truly lived up to its name.
Owner Bonnie waterworkDeng never had a formal grand opening, so this month when she expanded her business to do catering, she called upon the Ferndale Area Chamber of Commerce to help with an anniversary and expansion ribbon-cutting party.
“We have done well here in Oak Park and are happy to expand,” Deng said. “We wanted to share this with the community.”baby01
