Breaking and Entering
1041 S. Main (Jumpstart Automotive Group), 8-20-14 – 8-21-14, 6:30 p.m. – 8:45 a.m.:
Complainant reported an unknown suspect pried open the door lock, entered the business, and stole four (4) Dell Latitude laptop computers and one (1) Lenaro laptop computer.

Larceny from an Automobile
3400 block of Benjamin, 8-24-14 – 8-25-14, 5:30 p.m. – 7:45 a.m.: Complainant reported she parked her 2013 Ford Focus in a parking lot. When she returned she discovered an unknown suspect had stolen her tires and wheels. 14-28639

1500 block of N. Stephenson, 8-21-14, 5:25 p.m.: Complainant reported he left a jackhammer unattended in a parking lot. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect had stolen it. 14-28166
2100 block of Rowland, 8-19-14 – 8-22-14, 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.: Complainant reported he placed his handgun in a bag and set it on a table in his residence. Later in the day, two (2) contractors completed work inside his home. On August 22, 2014, he noticed his handgun was missing and reported the theft. 14-28264
27550 Woodward (Royal Oak Ford), 8-19-14 – 8-22-14, 9:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.:
Complainant reported an unknown suspect stole a dealer license plate from the business.

100 block of S. Georgetown Square, 8-23-14, 9:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Complainant reported he hired a residential maid service to clean his home. Later in the day he discovered two (2) pair of glasses, a Mac Book Pro laptop and a Blackberry Pro Q10 had been stolen. 14-28720
4800 block of Woodland, 8-27-14, 1:05 p.m. – 3:05 p.m.: Complainant reported UPS delivered a package and left it near his front door. When he looked for it, he discovered it had been stolen by an unknown suspect. 14-28944
Malicious Destruction of Property
3300 block of Fourteen Mile, 8-20-14 – 8-21-14, 8:45 p.m. – 9:00 a.m.: Complainant reported he parked his vehicle on the street. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect threw a landscaping brick at his windshield cracking it. 14-28125
100 block of N. Edgeworth, 8-22-14, 10:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.: Complainant reported he parked his vehicle on the street. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect keyed the driver side and the trunk lid of his car. 14-28445
1000 block of Greenleaf, 8-20-14 – 8-21-14, 11:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.: Complainant reported she parked her vehicle in front of her residence. When she returned she discovered an unknown suspect keyed the driver’s side and rear trunk area. The suspect also punctured the passenger side rear tire. 14-28231
28202 Woodward (Saranay Motel), 8-26-14, 12:10 a.m.: Complainant reported he saw three (3) teens in the alley behind the business and asked them to leave. A short time later one of the teens broke out a window on the east side of the business and all three fled the area.
The teens were described as white males, 5’6” to 5’9” with thin builds, possibly driving an older tan Chrysler. 14-28735
Other Incidents and Information
322 S. Main (Verizon Wireless), 8-24-14, 2:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.: A Verizon Wireless employee observed a subject expose himself inside the store and reported the incident.
Officer quickly responded to the area and located the suspect inside a nearby business. After further investigation, the 20-year-old Madison Heights resident was arrested for indecent exposure. The case is still under investigation. 14-28593
112 S. Main Street (Blaze Pizza), 8-23-14, 8:40 p.m.: Officers responded to Blaze Pizza to investigate the theft of a Kindle tablet. The victim left his Kindle unattended on a table for a moment while he picked up his order. When he returned to his table, a witness told him a subject took it and left the restaurant. The victim reported the theft. Officers located the suspect, a 61-year-old man, and arrested him for larceny. 14-28485
