4th & 5th Graders: Art Contest for Calendar about Protecting Watergallowaycollens1

Oakland County Water Resource Commission invites 4th and 5th grade students in Oakland County to submit drawings depicting how we can all protect our lakes, streams and rivers from pollution, as well as how to conserve water.  Winning entries are placed in a calendar that is distributed throughout all of Oakland County.  Winners are also treated to an award ceremony where they’ll be honored by Water Jim Shaffer KELLER ad blackResources Commissioner, Jim Nash.  The ceremony will be held in early December at the Cranbrook Institute of Science in Bloomfield Hills where they get neat prizes, have lunch and get to tour the museum for Free!

This contest is a great way to get students to learn early on how important a role we all have in protecting our most precious natural resource – clean, fresh water!
