Five Dream Cruise Arrests in Royal Oak, ’65 Corvette Stolen in Birmingham

Royal Oak Police shared information that there were only five arrests in the City during Dream Cruise, which took place Saturday, Aug. 16. They estimated that the event attracted 1.2 million people.
According to the report there were five arrests, with the following charges issued: Operating While Impaired; one Tampering with an Automobile; one Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; one Minor in Possession of Alcohol; one Malicious Destruction of Property and one Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
They also reported that the “Cruise In Shoes” 5k run/walk had about 1,400 participants.
In Birmingham a 1965 Corvette was stolen, according to The Oakland Press. The classic car belonged to a Rochester Hills couple, and has yet to be recovered.
