Sheriff’s Department Looking for Pontiac Credit Union Robber

INCIDENT: 15:27 Hrs. Aug. 13 – City of Pontiac – Armed Robbery of Credit Union/OCSO K9 Assist – #14-126796
SUMMARY: Deputies responded to Genisys Credit Union in the 44000 block of Woodard on a report of an Armed Robbery. Upon arrival employees of the Credit Union reported a black female, wearing sunglasses, entered the Credit Union. This woman approached one of the tellers and presented a note demanding all the money and indicating she had a gun. The teller turned over all the money from her drawer, and the suspect then exited the Credit Union and fled. When the suspect exited the bank the dye pack was triggered and exploded with red dye. The suspect made off with approximately $2,800. One $50 dollar bill with red dye on it was recovered on the ground . There is video of the suspect and several pictures. The suspect then fled on foot south of the bank behind another building.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: Witnesses were able to direct Deputies to the path the suspect had fled. A perimeter was established and an OCSO K9 responded. The K9 was able to track the suspect across Martin Luther King Blvd for some distance until the scent was lost in a parking lot where it is believed she entered a vehicle. Detectives and an Evidence Tech responded to the scene to assist in the investigation. The investigation continues in conjunction with the FBI.
SUSPECT / ARRESTEE INFORMATION: (Suspect): Black female about 40 yrs. Old with dark hair w/blonde highlights.
