Thief Targets Unlocked Cars in Pleasant RidgeNew Harvest Homes NHH

Neighbors in Pleasant Ridge have reported increased thefts of items from unlocked cars. Officer Reid of the Pleasant Ridge Police sent out the following message on Aug. 9, 2014:
“Pleasant Ridge Police Department wants to advise you that there were some unlocked vehicles entered by a thief starting at approximately 3:30 a.m. this morning. The thefts happened on both the East and West 20140810unlocked01sides of Woodward Ave. The thief primarily took loose change out of the cars, but did open the trunks of cars in a couple cases.
Surveillance video was obtained from one of the victim’s homes. If you believe your vehicle was entered since last night, and you have missing items, please call Pleasant Ridge Police at 248-541-2900 (then press #1 when prompted to be transferred to a dispatcher). I will be more than happy to take a report from you today.
Also, if you saw anyone suspicious walking on the streets between the times of 3:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. please give us a call.
