Life is not always purr-fect in Pleasant Ridge, but visitors to City Hall do get an experience more adorable than in most cities. Guarding the cozy little City Hall and Police Department building is an unexpected resident – PR the Cat.
PR, pronounced “Purr,” lives up to her name, greeting visitors by rubbing against their legs and meowing for attention. She loves being petted, and purrs loudly in approval.
City Attorney Charles Cooper found the stray about three years ago on his porch. He explained PR’s origins in a recent interview. (watch below):

essential Pleasant Ridge was recently graced with another “awe” inspiring visitor, a doe and her baby fawn. Unfortunately the mother deer did not survive, and residents are now exploring options to have the deer captured and taken to a rescue. The City itself has taken a “hands off” policy towards the deer.
Residents were also captivated by sightings of a coyote back in 2011 – http://oaklandcounty115.com/2011/03/08/coyote-sighted-in-pleasant-ridge-today/.seed14_chad_matt
