Rochester Auburn Hills Community Coalition Teen Night to Share Resources and Fun Aug. 7

Calling all teens and families! The 2nd Annual Teen Night featuring the Battle of the Bands is being held on Thursday, August 7th from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Village of Rochester Hills. This year’s presenting sponsor is the Rochester Auburn Hills Community Coalition in partnership with Crittenton Hospital, Rochester Hills Counseling and the Village of Rochester Hills.
The Battle of the Bands will feature 3 bands that will play throughout the evening with judging and awarding of the trophy to the 1st place winner around 8:45 p.m. The bands competition will be judged by Rochester Hills Mayor Bryan Barnett and Oakland Township Supervisor Terry Gonser.
Teen Night will also feature members of the Detroit Pistons Flight Crew known for their high-flying stunts they perform at the Palace of Auburn Hills, for a meet and greet, opportunity for photos and autographs. The Advocates for the Michigan Osteopathic Association is bringing their One Simple Decision (OSD) distracted driving simulator to educate Michigan teens and young adults about the dangers of distracted driving and the Yoga Shelter will be doing yoga demonstrations from 6:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
There will be several area organizations with interactive tables including the event sponsors and North Oakland Community Coalition, Disaster Relief at Work, Oakland County Moms and many, many more. The event is free and is open to the public.
