17 Year Old Arrested for Chasing Mother with an Axe

INCIDENT: 1254 Hrs. – July 28 – City of Pontiac – Felonious Assault – #14-11723
SUMMARY: Deputies responded to the 800 block of Blaine on a report of a 17 yr. old male chasing and threatening his mother with an axe. The mother advised dispatch that she had locked herself in the bathroom and reported the responsible was striking the door with the axe. There were no injuries reported.
OUTCOME OF INCIDENT: Upon arrival the responsible had left the scene. The mother reported she confronted her son after finding a marijuana plant growing in the basement. The mother flushed the marijuana plant down the toilet and the son became upset, threatening her with an axe. Deputies observed damage to the bathroom door where it had been struck with an axe. Deputies conducted an area check and located the responsible walking one block away from the residence. The responsible was arrested without incident and lodged at the Oakland County Jail pending issuance of warrants. The axe was recovered inside the house and the scene was processed by an evidence tech and taken as evidence.
ARRESTEE: 17 year old resident of Pontiac.
VICTIM: 36 year old resident of Pontiac.
