Adam Schihl Named Clawson Middle School PrincipalHowesLocation

Adam Schihl, Clawson High School Assistant Principal/Athletic Director, has been named Principal of Clawson Middle School. He will continue as Athletic Director for the district.
“Adam is excited about the opportunity to lead Clawson Middle School and is looking forward to working gallowaycollens1with all the Middle School staff building upon the culture of collaboration and fun that currently exists there,” said Superintendent Monique Beels. “Adam brings good experience to the position and I am looking forward to seeing his leadership style in terms of instruction and school culture,” she continued.
Schihl began his educational career in 2002 as a high school English teacher in Harper Woods where he was named Wayne County Teacher of the Week by the Detroit News. From 2007-2010 he served as Assistant Principal/Athletic Director seed030_cynthia_douglasat Harper Woods Secondary School and later was Principal at Hillsdale High School in Hillsdale, MI. He joined the Clawson School District in 2011.
He graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Schihl earned Education Specialist and Master of Educational Leadership Degrees from Saginaw Valley State University.
