Police Looking for Suspects in Oak Park Assaultt

On Thursday, July 3rd at 11:24 AM, Public Safety Officers were dispatched to the 23000 block of Republic on the report of a woman who had been assaulted by two unknown male subjects. Officers arrived on scene and met with the victim, an 18-year old female. The victim stated she had just finished looking through her vehicle for an item and had begun walking towards the front door of her residence. The victim heard voices, looked back and observed two male subjects approaching her in a quick fashion. As the victim began to run onto her front porch, one of the subjects grabbed her by the hair forcing her to the ground. The victim’s dog New Harvest Homes NHHthat was inside the home began barking as she struggled briefly with the subjects. She was able to free herself at which time she ran into the house and contacted Public Safety. The subjects fled the area north on foot. The victim stated her attackers never made their intentions known and she was unsure what they wanted. The victim could provide no possible reason for the attack. The victim suffered a minor scrape to her arm (no medical attention required).
Suspect #1 is described as a white male, medium build, approximately 20 years old, 6’0 tall, dark hair, wearing a short dark beard. The suspect had a tan and wore a green long sleeve shirt (sleeves pushed up) and black pants.
Suspect #2 is described as a white male, medium build, approximately 20 years old, 5’5 tall, short blonde hair, and clean-shaven. The suspect was wearing a t-shirt and blue jeans.
Public Safety is not aware of any other attacks of this nature that has occurred in the area. A report of the incident was taken immediately and the suspect information was provided to officers immediately. Officers ctechadchecked the area for the suspects with negative results. The Commanding Officer of the Investigation Bureau responded to the scene at the time of the incident.   This incident has been assigned to the Investigation Bureau.
