Pedestrian Dead after being hit by Garbage Truck in Berkley

A 61 year old woman is dead after being struck by a garbage truck in Berkley Wednesday night. The accident happened at about 8:30pm at 11 Mile and Woodward. According to various reports, the woman had been crossing 11 Mile when a truck turning Westbound from Woodward onto 11 Mile hit her. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman is reported to have been a Royal Oak resident.
