Police received a 911 call from the clerk working at the Citgo gas station at 8 Mile / Pinecrest. The clerk reported that a woman asked him to call 911 to help her as the man she was with had a gun and was stealing her car. The suspect (JACKSON) assaulted the woman who ran to her car and locked Rudy Serra campaign adthe car doors. Jackson chased her out and was banging on the car windows trying to get in. The police then arrived. They arrested Jackson and recovered a loaded 12 ga. Shotgun from the vehicle.
According to the victim, she met Jackson about two months ago and exchanged phone numbers. They began seeing each other about three weeks ago. Tuesday afternoon, the two got together. All started well, but Jackson started drinking and acting irrationally. The two went to a liquor store in Detroit (near Gratiot / 8 Mile), and Jackson got into an argument with the clerk. He then became physically and verbally abusive towards her. He had her drive him to his home in Detroit. He went inside tof his house as she waited outside in her car. She thought he was retrieving some of her belongings so that she could go home. He brought her belongings, then got in the car himself. He had a shotgun with him. Throughout the early morning hours, he refused to let the victim go home. He threatened to kill her.
