(Royal Oak Police Report, June 13, 2014)
Update:
On March 4, 2014 at approximately 9:00 p.m. a “takeover” type robbery occurred at Wilson’s Market, 901 E. 11 Mile. Subsequent investigation by members of ROPD Criminal Investigation Division determined that nicholas-schrock-allstatethe Wilson’s robbery was related to six other robberies in at least four communities (Clinton Township, Detroit, Madison Heights, and Harrison Township) based on common characteristics of the crimes.
Members of ROPD CID partnered early on into the investigation with other law enforcement agencies including Clinton Township Police, Madison Heights Police, Detroit Police, ATF, IRS, and Macomb County Sheriff’s Office. Investigative avenues and tasks were divided amongst the various agencies and investigators.
The coordinated investigative efforts by all agencies resulted in the execution of six search warrants and four arrest warrants on May 9, 2014 in Wayne and Macomb counties. Subsequent interview and investigation of the suspects, along with evidence recovered, leads investigators to be confident these suspects are responsible for the Armed Robbery at Wilson’s Market as well as those armed robberies in the other jurisdictions to include the murder of a store owner in Clinton Township.Rudy Serra campaign ad
