Claws & Paws Fills Park with Pets
(Crystal A. Proxmire, June 9, 2014)
After a two-mile dog walk and charity run, Claws & Paws participants met up at the Clawson Park Pavilion for a day of frolicking with pets and possibly meeting new ones.
The annual event showcased cats and dogs available for adoption, as well as products that some pet owners might wonder how they ever lived without. Vendors came complete with treats, homemade toys, and even Dawg Ties for days when animals need to feel a bit more formal. With beautiful weather that Saturday, dozens of people and pets were able to attend.
Claws & Paws raised money for Guardians for Animals, a group “dedicated to helping rescues, and sanctuaries save the lives of abandoned, abused, and neglected animals. GFA helps dedicated; NO KILL rescue groups receive much needed funds, supplies, and help with placement of animals in their care.” Learn more about Guardians for Animals at http://www.guardiansforanimals.org/.
